The Media Library of Teaching Skills

The Media Library of Teaching Skills (MLoTS) project, a free web-based library of short digital videos of adult education classrooms and tutorials. These videos are intended to applicable to all levels of ESOL, ABE, and GED instruction.

The Media Library of Teaching Skills for adult learning and literacy project is intended to be a large, online digital library of short (under 10 minute) videos of adult education teachers and their classes. Each video will be an example of a Massachussetts state-approved content standard, research-based practice, preferred approach, or specific teaching method or skill. In some cases these will be examples in practice of a particular state's approved curriculum frameworks or content standards. The project began in March, 2007 and is expected to grow as new videos are added to the library.

MLoTS now has three MLoTS-created reading and numeracy videos and over 30 other videos, including those from:
* NCAL/ILI Professional Development Kit (ESOL and basic literacy tutoring)

* NCAL/ILI Captured Wisdom (integrating technology),

* OTAN (integrating technology)

* CLESE (an informal assessment to capture what low-literate ESOL learners can and cannot do with literacy)
