How do you navigate Blackboard?

Logging In

Go to http://blackboard.vcu.edu.  Click on the login button at the top of the page.  This will lead you to a page with a login box.  Type your username and password, provided to you in an email.  Remember that in Blackboard usernames and passwords are case sensitive and are set to all lower case. If you have trouble with logging in or don't remember your username or password, please contact Hillary Major at courses@valrc.org or 1-800-237-0178.

Getting to My Courses

Once you login, you will be directed to your Welcome Page.  On the far right side of the screen, you will see a box that is titled, "My Courses".  Underneath this section, you will select the course for which you are enrolled.

Course Navigation

Once you have entered your course, you will see a How To Get Started button on the left side of the screen. You will find technical information about the course and how to navigate it here. You must read through this information before you can view the rest of the course.
