We all need help at times in our lives. This especially applies to new learning situations.
Who to Call for Help
If you are having difficulty with the technical side of the course (you can't remember how to login, can't find the Discussion Board, have trouble opening a document, find a broken link, etc.) then you need to contact your technical facilitator, Lauren Ellington or Hillary Major.
To contact Lauren or Hillary, call her at 1-800-237-0178. You may also email her at courses@valrc.org. She is generally in the office and available from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm. She also monitors the courses as they are going on and will see any questions you post there.
If you have any questions regarding the content of the course, you will need to contact your course facilitator. This person will vary depending on which course you are taking. Please check the course information email that you received from Lauren or Hillary. It will list your content facilitator. If you can't find it, then again, please feel free to call Lauren or Hillary to get that information.
Where Else to Get Help
VCU has a FAQ website on Blackboard at http://faq.vcu.edu/ts/ or you can click on the
at the top of your screen to access more help.
Self-Advocacy
Just a little word here about self-advocacy. It is of vital importance in an online environment that you speak up for yourself. If you are having difficulty with any aspect of the course, let one of your facilitators know. We are here to help you and enjoy helping someone learn their way around the online world.
