How to Be a
Good Online Learner

12. What are keyboard shortcuts?

One way to make your time online more efficient is through the use of keyboard shortcuts.  These are keystrokes that you use to perform frequent tasks rather than using the menus.  They will save you time and make using the Internet and learning online a little bit easier.

Many of the menus used in programs and browsers list the shortcuts next to the function they perform.  Notice that Ctrl + A is the shortcut for Select All.

If you find yourself using a certain function quite a bit, it could be worth your time to memorize the shortcut keys.
