Welcome to the Virginia Adult Learning Resource Center's Professional Development calendar page. This section of the website contains all of the Professional Development opportunities currently scheduled.

Introducing our new OnDemand Online Course Offerings.

In an effort to better meet your professional development needs, VALRC has developed a new OnDemand service for our online courses. VALRC’s facilitated online courses offer in-depth explorations of evidence-based best practices in a variety of essential adult education topics such as working with adults with disabilities; teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages; and teaching reading, writing, and numeracy skills. Adult Education Program Managers’ Webinar Series.

We are able to only offer services free of charge to those who are employed in programs funded through grants from the Office of Adult Education and Literacy and/or the Virginia Literacy Foundation. If you are interested in taking any of these trainings please contact your Regional Program Manager or Regional Adult Education Specialist. If you are not funded through either of those organizations, please contact us directly by email or by phone at 1-800-237-0178 for a fee schedule.

VALRC uses the Virginia Learning Center (VLC) management system for your adult education professional development profile, training registrations, transcripts, reporting, and VAECP certification.
