ERO and Blackboard

To ensure that you successfully create a profile and register for training, please open the VALRC User Guide for ERO and Blackboard below. This manual gives detailed instructions for getting started in ERO.

To browse available trainings, login to ERO and click on Course Catalog. If you don't have an ERO account but would like to see our available trainings, click the link below to enter the ERO Registration System. On the ERO login page, click the "Browse the Public Catalog" link, accept the site terms, and then click on the Course Catalog.

All profiles, registrations, and course completions must be reviewed and approved. Please allow up to three (3) business days for processing of all profiles, enrollment requests, and course completions.

Please note that we are able to only offer services to those who are employed in programs funded through grants from the Office of Adult Education and Literacy and/or the Virginia Literacy Foundation. If you are not funded through either of those organizations, we can not offer you services.

Blackboard

All online training done through the Resource Center uses VCU's Blackboard site. You can find your Blackboard username and password in your ERO profile after your profile has been reviewed and approved. You will use this username every time you login to Blackboard.

Virginia Adult Educator Certification Program

To register for all VAECP face-to-face trainings, please use ERO to locate the face-to-face session for which you would like to register. After you have been marked attended for your face-to-face session, you will submit your afterwork through Blackboard. You can find your Blackboard username and password in your ERO profile. Please see the link above for entering Blackboard.

System Maintenance

On the first and third Saturday of each month from 8:00A to 12:00P Eastern Time, ERO will undergo a maintenance window. During this maintenance window you may experience anything from slow response, limited access, or no connectivity; or you may experience no interruption whatsoever.

Blackboard has regularly scheduled maintenance on the second and fourth Friday of every month from 4 pm - midnight. Please note that you will be unable to access Blackboard at all during these scheduled maintenance periods. If you are in Blackboard at the time of a scheduled maintenance, you will lose any work.
