Developing Writing Skills in Adult Learners

In this highly participatory workshop, instructors will look at the writing process from original idea to final polished version, paying special attention to strategies to improve their learners’ skills and understanding of the three steps of writing. The workshop focuses particularly on revision techniques, which form the basis of the multiple choice section of the GED Language Arts, Writing Test. We will also look at Peter Elbow’s ideas about free writing and direct writing.
