From Intake to Achievement: Goal Setting Policy Training Online

From Intake to Achievement is the new one-stop shop for training to effectively manage students' progress from entering your program until they accomplish their goals and exit. Currently, only our Goal Setting Policy Training is available here but in the future, you will be able to access our Assessment Policy Training and other Approved NRS Assessment Trainings.

The format for the training is self-paced, non-facilitated, and asynchronous. You should allow yourself approximately two hours for completion of this training. You do not have to complete the training all at once, however. You may stop at any time and return to the training at your convenience.

From Intake to Achievement: Virginia Content Standards Online Training

Do you want to learn how to effectively integrate the Virginia Content Standards into your instruction? If you plan to attend any face-to-face trainings about how to use the content standards, you must complete the short online introduction before attending. The course is self-paced and is designed to be completed in approximately two hours.

The training consists of two parts. The first part is applicable to teachers of both GED and ESOL. The second part is broken into an ESOL track and a GED track. If your program will be using both sets of content standards, you are welcome to complete both tracks.

You will need to have a copy of the content standards available to you in order to complete this training. If you don't have a hard copy, you can download the content standards in this training.
