Virginia Content Standards Online Training

Do you want to learn how to effectively integrate the Virginia Content Standards into your instruction? If you plan to attend any face-to-face trainings about how to use the content standards, you must complete the short online introduction before attending. The course is self-paced and is designed to be completed in approximately two hours.

The training consists of two parts. The first part is applicable to teachers of both GED and ESOL. The second part is broken into an ESOL track and a GED track. If your program will be using both sets of content standards, you are welcome to complete both tracks.

You will need to have a copy of the content standards available to you in order to complete this training. If you don't have a hard copy, you can download the content standards in this training.

The certificate that you will print at the end of this training will be required at any face-to-face trainings that you attend regarding the content standards. Please make sure that you take your certificate with you to any face-to-face trainings.

If you have previously completed this training, you do not need to complete it again. If you have lost your certificate, please log back into the training and resubmit the evaluation noting that you are only printing your certificate. This will allow you to reprint your certificate for your training.
