  • At the CCRS Teacher-Leadership Institute in November 2015, participants in the ELA strand worked with Lesson 5.1, Basic Economic Concepts (pgs. 184-189) in McGraw Hill’s Common Core Basics: Social Studies textbook as a sample resource to evaluate and use in lesson revision. The following online resources were evaluated and considered as potential supplementary readings during the lesson revision process:
  • When SBI 1 was offered at the July 2016 PreVAILL training, participants in the ELA strand worked with Lesson 2.2, Revolution and a New Nation (pgs. 78-85) in McGraw Hill’s Common Core Basics: Social Studies textbook as a sample resource to evaluate and use in lesson revision. "The Preamble: We the People," an excerpt from The Words We Live by by Linda R. Monk was considered as a potential supplementary reading during the lesson revision process.
