My GED Success Story Video Contest (October 14, 2008)

The My GED Success Story video contest is now underway! The contest is featured on the Virginia Government YouTube channel at: http://www.youtube.com/virginiagovernment.

This contest allows Virginia GED graduates to tell their stories and, by posting a video to YouTube, promote the GED credential to others. Winning videos will be used in statewide GED promotion; prizes will include a Nintendo Wii and several iPod nanos.

Please promote the My GED Success Story video contest with your program's students and graduates. You can find information about the contest and the contest rules at: http://www.vaged.vcu.edu/youtube

To be eligible to win, videos must be created by Virginia GED graduates; they should be three minutes or shorter in length. The contest will run through January 12, 2009.
