As Publications and Communications Specialist at VALRC, I edit a variety of Resource Center print and online publications, including the Progress newsletter. I also help develop and deliver trainings and resources related to writing instruction, outreach, and technology use. In addition, I serve as technical facilitator for many of VALRC’s online courses, helping to make sure the online learning experience runs as smoothly as possible.
I was born and raised in Virginia but spent three years in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where I taught English composition and creative writing while working on my Master of Fine Arts in poetry. I also hold a B.A. in English with a concentration in creative writing from Hollins University in Roanoke, VA.
In my free time, I can usually be found with a book in hand. I also enjoy writing, playing and listening to music, and watching movies.
